| Other Notes : | Susan Whalen, Vestal, was imbued one day while clearing out the last earthly personal effects of her little girl, Charlie; a girl on whom Susan had doted.
Some time before, Charlie had been taken away from Susan by a hideous creature, species unknown, which had a taste for kids. It had the power to cloud the adult victims' memories of their lost ones, making them slowly forget about their kids, and ultimately to even dispose of the evidence for it. Susan Whalen, on becoming imbued, teamed up with Zeiss (Mike Hallam) and Vagabond (Martin Lucas) adopting the pen name Vestal, after the "virgins" from Classical Mythology associated with the Goddess of Fire. The night she was out on the hunt, she'd had no intention of going there. Zeiss had conned her into coming out to the hunt. That night, Susan had been planning on ending it all, and joining Charlie in Heaven. Instead, the Heralds sent her Libra, a man for her to give a helping hand to, someone she could care for. And care about, deeply. When Libra confessed that he'd slept with a witch in Halloween 2001, Susan had been on the verge of dropping her own bombshell: that Libra had become a father. In a rage, she vanished out of Libra's life for months, cursing his name for not trying to find her, not realising he'd been abducted and held prisoner in a top secret Government institution in Wales called The Farm. Eventually, Libra found Susan, and her - their - son, Samual, and brought them all home. Recently (6 April, 2003) Vestal encountered the witch, the 'raven haired Jezebel' who'd "stolen the heart of her man." They talked, and Susan discovered the truth about Sam's birth: that it was part of a custom called "The Stewarts' Boon," where a young Stewart at his coming of age slept with a Witherspoon, to ensure Destiny would bless him with a strapping, healthy son at some later time. This ritual seemed to have worked, resulting in Libra being successful in siring a beautiful little boy, Samuel Morgan Stewart, in late September 2002. As of April 7, 2003, Vestal is engaged to be married to her lover, Gregory Malpas "Libra" Stewart, with a provisional date set as September 2003. Who knows what might happen between now and then ... |
| Attitudes Towards Hunters: | Vestal: "Take them or leave them. I'll stand by the ones I know, and I'll never leave Libra's side as long as he needs me to be his wife, his friend, the mother of his son." |
|---|---|
| Attitudes Towards Enemy: | Vestal: "I used to wonder if I was cut out for the role. All that macho bullshit I kept getting from the list make me cringe, sometimes.
"Yet I know the role I've been selected to play involves some degree of conflict, even violence: those few, few times I have been called upon to activate the Rod of Destruction power, I have ... well, to be frank, using the Power brings me to orgasm. Something phallic about the long, solid, heavy objects I bring to bear, maybe ... "So yeah, I'm supposed to be here to deliver death to the creeps. "But there are other ways to deliver retaliation than by direct violence, no matter how big the incentive from the Heralds for me to pick up an iron bar or a brick and turn it into a white hot dildo of death ..." |
| Attitudes Towards Humans: | Vestal: "We're all human, under the skin. Even if the skin belongs to a rotting corpse.
"Like all humans, you can be a nice person, indifferent or a total arsehole. If you're one of the first two, you're not my problem. If you're the third, stay out of my face." |
