I've been thinking on this more. The issue is simple. If Hunter were reality, and not a game, the amount of Hunters who went out every night and killed bad things would be very small.
Why? That's simple. Most people don't, can't, won't do that sort of thing.
And, there are other ways to fight. Doctors, lawyers, politicians, teachers, protestors, police officers, even soccor moms and t-ball coaches.
I think the thing most people writing hunter loose is the big picture. Hunter is not a game about going out and shooting bad things. It is a game about change. 2000+ years of supernatural influence on a world, now you want to stop that? you can't do that by simply shooting things.
You have to change how the world works, how people think, how they act. Hunter is a movement.
And that really is the beauty of the game. The stalking the stalkers is essential, really. Some monsters will always need to be killed. BUT the true focus is bigger than that.
