You just don't get it, do you?
You messed up. You did something that is referred to in the technical parlance as "a bad thing." You suffered the consequences of that action.
Nowhere in there was any promise of a second chance. You are not entitled to a second chance. You don't get to come in and take one, without so much as a by-your-leave.
Perhaps, if you had waited, and then PR'ed the Constable, showing contrition and asking, very nicely, you might have gotten one. Or, you might not have.
Instead, you assumed that the consequences of your actions were a mere inconvenience, and that you could do whatever you damned well pleased. That's not the way it works.
Being a mature adult means that you have to follow some basic rules. Rules of courtesy and respect, and of common sense. You failed to think about any of that when you mailbombed IceRoze. (What she did is irrelevant. This is about what you did.)
Not only that, but when you come into any situation, there are rules that you have to follow. You do not get to pick and choose. Being a mature adult means following those rules, even when you don't want to.
What you did is the height of immaturity. You lashed out, rather than going through legitimate channels, at IceRoze. Then, when you suffered the consequences, you thought to yourself, "But, it's ME!" and assumed that those rules did not apply to you. When you were assured, by the apparatus of the list, that they did, you lashed out once more at the Constable.
Quite frankly, sir, you are nothing more than a brat. Don't try to dress this up as a noble cause, because it's not. It's not the Constable's job to be popular, but fair. Even if the decision did not have the support of the masses, it was the right thing to do. I'm sure that the Constable is dealing with IceRoze as an entirely separate matter, which is only appropriate.
And, of course, you shouldn't make libellous statements. The Constable, I am told, did not say that you made a DoS attack through your new server, only that you had returned to a place you had been kicked from because of a DoS attack under your previous server. (I do know these things.)
You did not accept the ban. Accepting it would have involved not coming back.
Any way you slice it, you brought this on yourself. Accept the consequences like a mature adult.
: : And 'background' is a key word as well. The Constable rarely has to do anything as he only appears in the most extreme of circumstances. If you have a problem with him then it will not be a petty matter. What has annoyed me about this matter is that rather than resolve the problem diplomatically (ie. PR the Constable and explain your problem) many members decided to attack the whole position of Constable. I personally felt that Fixxxer deserved a second chance. But the lack of respect shown to the more prominent members of the list (ie. John Meehan, the guy who runs it for starters!) left me with little sympathy.
: I have made no attack, verbal or otherwise to John Meehan. I also never threatened the constable in a PR, or made any form of digital attack against him.
: I know it's his job, and I accepted the ban the first time. I tried to come back to the list, waving a white flag, apologising for all the fuss i had caused (even though i wasn't the only one to blame, or the one who had started the entire incident).
: I used the same screenname, (through a different e-mail address, FiXXXer667@freemail.gr ) because i thought it would be dishonest to try to rejoin the list using a different handle, and believing that the constable would show some lenience. However, that wasn't the case, and after two IC posts of mine.. (not a single ooc post, just IC!) i get kicked again, and the constable reported to my alternative mail webmaster that i had performed a DoS attack through their service, which is a lie.
: I had used my former account ( vmour@tee.gr ), and had been warned about it. I had to go through some shit ( although they were pretty ok) from freemail too, this time without a reason.
: This enraged me to the point of sending the post i sent to both the list and whitewolf.
: My only aim after being kicked for the second time, was to make sure no one went through the same shit i did.
: Jacob may rant as much as he wants that i did it to save my ass and get back to the list, but i have stated otherwise enough times. If he judges by what he would do in a similar situation, he can keep his judgements to himself. I am not one to brown nose or suck up bad and unfair judgement towards my character.
: : My thoughts anyway. As long as they don't clutter up the list.
: A-frikkin-men as Kat would say....
