Instead of the above two comments... what of an imbuing or the use of a hunter edge inspiring somebody with the possibility of Awakening under the rules of M:tA? If I'm properly familiar with those rules sometimes the awakenings are dramatic, and other times they just happen over time, the first example almost being like an imbuing.
I'm currently working on multiple different story angles, but just curious how well something like that would work on this list and in WoD period. The TT games I've played have _only_ ever been cross-over LARPs and so I'm familiar with the huge amount of mechanics involved in doing something like this in game terms. But in story terms, I'm just curious why it couldn't/hasn't happened yet.
Then the said awakened supe would follow the hunters around for guidance and support, the whole time thinking that he/she was a Hunter and not a mage while at the same time the rest of the group is not understanding why he/she is the only supposed hunter showing up as "wrong."
And then of course, part of the story would be the slow but nessecary break-down of the relationship as the mage discovers that he/she isn't like the rest of them, but something else and something that the group might percieve as evil.
