Student offered a 5:1 ratio, or 16% successfully being Imbued. I'm not sure whether that's a high estimate or a low one. My gut feeling is that the percentage of successful imbueings isn't much higher than the percentage who survive.
In other words, if you successfully Imbue (and don't become a Bystander), a Hunter is likely to survive their first encounter. It's the next couple that are the real problems.
